PRE-QUALIFICATION CLASS REQUIREMENTS: None.
 
SCOPE OF PROJECT:   Item #1: Replace the main service switch with an enclosed breaker. This work would require a shut-down of the system, for initial engineering visit, to take measurements of the existing layout for configuration/engineering of new bus kit for connection of the breaker to the existing bussing. The replacement kit would include an R-frame breaker with ground fault, support, bussing kits and installation labor. A shut-down for approximately 12-14 hours would be required to perform the installation and a rental/set-up of one (1) each generator will be required.
Item #2: Replace existing automatic transfer switch with one (1) each new 600 amp, 3 phase, 480/277 volt transfer switch. A shut-down of the emergency system for approximately 4-6 hours would be required. The new transfer switch would be installed in the same location as the currently existing switch and the start-up needs to be performed by a trained technician.

All employees working on site MUST pass a criminal background check prior to entering the facility.
All work performed will be scheduled with the Jail commander to be conducted at a time that reduces disruption to services in the facility.

                 Pursuant to BOLI requirements, for contracts over fifty thousand dollars ($50,000), all Bidders shall submit to Contact Person within two (2) working hours after the above BID CLOSE DEADLINE a disclosure of any first-tier subcontractor intended to furnish labor or materials in connection with the Public Improvement Bid.  Such disclosure shall be disclosed in the form provided.   (Bid Document IV-First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form)
 
                All Bids received which are in proper form will be opened publicly by the contracting agency immediately after the deadline for submission of Bids.  At that time, the County may take various actions including, but not limited to, selecting the winning Bid, rejecting all Bids, or postponing any such action for a period not to exceed two (2) weeks from the opening, during which period the Bids will be irrevocable.  Jackson County may reject any Bid noncompliant with any prescribed public Bidding procedure(s) and/or requirement(s), and, in its sole discretion, may reject for good cause any or all Bids upon Jackson County finding that it is in the public interest.
