Greater Bear Creek Valley Regional Problem Solving (RPS) Plan
NEXT HEARING
**The August 26, 2010 Jackson County Planning Commission Public Hearing is canceled.**
On September 9, 2010, the Jackson County Planning Commission will hold the next Public Hearing in a series of Public Hearings to consider a Comprehensive Plan Map and Text Amendment and a Land Development Ordinance Zoning Map and Text Amendment to adopt the Greater Bear Creek Valley Regional Problem Solving (RPS) Plan under Oregon Revised Statute (ORS) 197.652-197.658. At this hearing, the Planning Commission will be outlining the concerns and questions raised about the Plan thus far. The file number for this item is LRP2009-00010. The hearing will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the Auditorium of the Jackson County Offices, 10 South Oakdale Avenue, Medford, Oregon.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The following is a tentative schedule for upcoming meetings on RPS including a brief description of the topic to be discussed. These dates are tentative and subject to change, so please check back regularly.
2010:
August 26 - CANCELED
September 9 - Recap of all comments/questions outlined thus far at public hearings.
September 23 - Present Chapter 5 of the Draft Plan and discuss general comments/questions.
October 14 (night meeting) - Discuss city specific comments/questions about Central Point, Medford, and Eagle Point.
October 28 (night meeting) - Discuss city specific comments/questions about Talent, Phoenix, and Ashland.
November 18 (night meeting) - Discuss remaining general comments/questions. Present the Urban Reserve Management Agreement.
December 9 - Discuss any remaining city-specific comments/questions.
2011: January 13 - Present revised Draft Plan with all revisions. Present Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law.
January 27 - Final deliberation and make recommendation to the Board of Commissioners on Draft Plan.

PUBLIC HEARING HISTORY
January 28, 2010. The RPS Plan without the City of Jacksonville as a RPS Plan Participant was introduced and Chapter 1 of Volume 1 of the Draft Plan was reviewed.
February 25, 2010. Chapter 2 of Volume 1 of the Draft RPS Plan was reviewed.
March 11, 2010. Chapter 2 of Volume 1 of the Draft RPS Plan was reviewed.
April 8, 2010. Chapter 3 of Volume 1 of the Draft RPS Plan was reviewed.
April 22, 2010. A draft version of the Urban Reserve Management Agreement was reviewed.
May 13, 2010. Testimony was received from ODOT and RVTD and the proposed Community Buffers were discussed.
May 27, 2010. The City of Eagle Point presented their portion of the Draft RPS Plan.
June 10, 2010. The City of Talent presented their portion of the Draft RPS Plan.
June 24, 2010. The City of Medford presented their portion of the Draft RPS Plan.
July 8, 2010. The City of Central Point presented their portion of the Draft RPS Plan.
July 22, 2010. The City of Phoenix presented their portion of the Draft RPS Plan.
August 12, 2010. The City of Ashland presented their portion of the Draft RPS Plan.
AGRICULTURAL FORUM
