Look for the Find it Fast! tool in the upper left corner of the page.  Just type what you're looking for in the "Search Site" box and then click the "GO" button.  Our web site uses the powerful Google search engine to quickly locate relevant information.  Searching is usually the fastest way to find what you need.

The Find it Fast! tool also has an "advanced search" option that allows you to customize your search.  You can restrict your search to a particular content category, such as Agendas & Minutes, or search just the Calendar for events.  To the right of the advanced search option is a "sitemap" option.  The sitemap shows, in outline form, how all the pages of the Jackson County web site are linked together.

Other ways to find information: 

Quick Links:  On the right margin of the main or department home pages, you'll find a number of Quick Link buttons.  These link to our most frequently requested pages. 

Left menu:  On the left margin of the home page, you'll find links to categories of information such as News, Jobs, and other popular content.  On department home pages, the left menu includes links to sub-departments and Contact Information and Office Hours for the department, which links to office address, location map, phone, email, and business hours information.

Tabs:  Along the top of the page, you'll see tabs for key areas of the web site.  The Home tab takes you back to the main county home page. By clicking the Departments tab, you can navigate to a particular department home page.  The Contact Us tab allows you to ask a question or make a comment via web form or by calling our main phone number. 

Popular Pages: On the main Jackson County home page, you'll find another helpful link in the left menu.  It's called Popular Pages and it's just below About Jackson County.  Clicking on Popular Pages will take you to an alphabetical list of frequently-accessed pages, from Air Quality to West Nile Virus.

FAQs: Frequent Questions can also be found in the left gray sidebar just above the Job Opportunities link on many pages.  Frequent Questions lists a range of answers to frequently asked questions in various categories.  The categories are arranged in alphabetical order.

Contact form submissions are routed daily by our Administration office to the appropriate department so staff can take action.  Department staff will respond to you directly if you've included your email address. 

Detailed contact information for an individual department is found on the left menu of that department's home page. If you already know what department you need to reach, you can always call that department directly.
