- Schnitzer Steel, located at 2625 Avenue G in White City (826-5758) - They will compensate for scrap metal at 40 dollars per ton (prices fluctuate depending on market conditions). Firebrick must be removed.
- Cascade Metal Recycling, located at 700 Merlin Rd in Grants Pass (541-479-8017) - They will compensate for scrap metal at 40 dollars per ton (prices fluctuate depending on market conditions).

Low-income assistance
- The housing authority of Jackson County provides assistance to low income families (80 percent of median income) for non-certified solid fuel heating device switch-out. For more information on low-income assistance contact the housing authority at 857-1118.
- The United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development offers one percent interest loans as well as grants for qualifying low-income households in rural areas to switch out non-certified wood stoves. For more information please contact Susan Cherry at 776-4291 (extension 112).
